honestly, there’s not much advice to give, it just has to come from the simple fact that you want to stop. I tried many alternatives and the one that helped me out a ton was writing on myself with marker. I would write what I felt or what I saw and just started to write instead of starting to self harm.
What made you want to quit? That more than anything is the thing that spurs a change. It’s the contemplation, but it’s the hardest part. At least for me. I have a really hard time listing why I’d want to give it up in the first place.
