I am only about 15 years old. I am getting better from self harm. I have not been bullied or in any physical harm. But some people that are not really good for me that were my friends before I started will be probably in my school next year. Do you think i should move schools? or not let them phase me and take the chance of feeling like i injure again… Any ideas? Its kinda hard from not knowing the whole story I know.
I’m someone who feels like anytime you are in a situation where you’re around people who have an effect on you that is negative, that it’s best to get away to a situation and around people who are more positive and get you to be a better, happier person.
If there’s no way to avoid “toxic” people at your school, and no way to avoid the effects of these encounters which bring you down, then yes, perhaps you might want to move to a school that you know you’ll be happier at, if there is one available to you.
Wherever you go though, I’d recommend that you speak to your school counselor, especially if you’re not already seeing a counselor or therapist already, and let them know what you’re going through and/or why you moved schools.
It’s good to have regular contact with someone like that at school whom you can turn to who knows your circumstances.
Whatever your choice, may peace follow you.
Thanks for reading. Take care!
