Tonight I struggle- it’s been a month since I last SI’d and I truly feel like throwing it all away. I had a “fight” with my family and I feel as though I have to do something to punish myself. I thought/hoped this would get easier as time went on.
Dealing with SI is definitely a struggle. Trying to stop is hard because events in life will trigger you to try to cope by SI’ing.
(I hope I’m not too late in saying this)
I am almost a year clean and what I have learned is that you have to find a new outlook on life. Believing that you have a purpose and striving to find out what that is and knowing that you are beautiful and that your beautiful body doesn’t deserve to be marked up. You are better than what you are doing to yourself.
I still struggle sometimes and want to give in but I know that I am better than that and it’s not worth it.
