This is the first time i ever came out in public so its hard for me i”m only 14 a freshman and school is hard to deal with all the drama… how did you guys tell your parents and how did they react? i know my parents well and i’m sure this will shock them.. its hard for me to hide the injuries.. since i”m in sports.
Telling my parents sometimes seems like a mistake. All i get is, “why would you do this to yourself?” And, “Did we really make your life this bad? I can’t believe you.” So i ended up telling them i quit. They refused to get me help, and its a scary thing. I sometimes feel like im on my own, but when some off my friends found out they were pretty supportive. I found out alot of them did it too. Maybe first you should try finding someone who can relate to you. And if your parents really love you, then you’ll find the right way to tell them, and the right moment too.
It is sometimes really difficult to tell your parents, but in the long run it may make you feel a little better. You’ll feel like someone is there to talk to when you’re feeling guilty or upset about it. I didn’t tell anyone all through high school and sometimes it was very, very difficult. Once I told my parents, it was like this huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. Just be prepared: some people do freak out…Again to reiterate what beautiful_disaster said if they love you then you’ll find the right moment and time, it’ll come to you. It’ll all work out!!
