hello everyone. i just want suggest a book for anyone who needs to find hope. whether you are recovering or still getting there, this is great if you need reassureance. i read this while i was at my worst and i couldn’t stand to look at it. now i just reread it a little bit before my last SI and i’ve completely changed my view. it does provide the message of hope that i needed to find. i didn’t find it triggering because it talks more about recovery than the actually issue of SI. (prepare yourself before reading though because you may find different things triggering than me.)
i’m not sure if i can post the name of the book because, even though it’s one short word, it could be triggering to some. so i’ll just say it’s written by patricia mccormick. i believe it’s the only book she’s written so it shouldn’t be that hard to find.
i hope it helps you as much as it helped me.
I know what book you are talking about. I read it a couple months ago and i loved it. The one thing you have to remember is that it IS fiction, so if some facts about SI are a little bit off, thats why. Its the same thing with the book IMPULSE
I read that book right after it came out. It is pretty good, however the book “Skin Game” by Caroline Kettlewell is so much better — and is her memoir… not a fictional story like the name of the book you are referring to.
thanks for the comments. i’ll have to check those books out.
May I suggest a book, also? I’ve never read this book, but I reeeeeally want to!!! XD It’s “Purpose for the Pain” by Renee Yohe.
I’ll also try to read the book that you have suggested!
