Hello all. We here at SAFE just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year. New Year’s Eve can be difficult for some people. Sometimes it’s difficult to look back at the year that is passing, and to hold on to hope for the year to come. Try looking forward and setting one realistic goal for yourself. Something like “I’ll find and start to see a therapist”, “I’ll tell someone that I have a problem with SI and ask them for help” (if you’re a teen, choose a safe adult to tell – there must be someone you can trust). Ask for help in the coming year.
It continues to be good to see the support you all give to each other. It takes courage to come here and reach out for help. That’s a step in the right direction.
It seems odd to put this on here – but I wanted to be sure to encourage you all to click on “submit for review” when you write a post or comment. If you click on “Save as draft” – it does just that – keeps your writing as an unseen draft. It seems like many times people plan to post what they’ve written – but if it’s just a draft, we won’t post it. Thanks!
