you need your mom to get better. it took me three tries over a span of 7 months to tell her. keep trying…one of these times you will get it out.
I’m a mom of a 15yr old who I just found out is cutting.
Tell you parents now, no matter how terrifying that may be. Force yourself to speak instead of cutting. There is a problem in your family. You can’t tell your parents how you feel or what you’re going thru. You’re isolating yourself and suffering. You’re NOT creating a problem for them. It’s been there all along, they just didn’t notice. And that must hurt. I can’t believe we didn’t know anything way wrong with our daughter, she hid it so well. She didn’t want to “bother us or be a burden”. I only wish we knew sooner so she wouldn’t have been suffering alone for so long. We will do anything and everything we can to help her. I’m sure your parents will to if you give them a chance. If they’re upset, or angery or can’t relate – To Bad for them. They need to deal with it , stand by your side and feel your pain. You don’t have to protect them, you have to take care of yourself. You need the support of your family and friends. If you have a close friend (who’s not cutting) tell them if they don’t know so they can back you up. And if you can’t tell them the truth just say some is bothering you about your family and you can’t take it any more and your going to try and tell your parents. Ask your friend to hold you accountable and keep asking you if you’ve talked to your parnents. Hopefully you have a friend, cousin, someome who’ll just care your so stressed out. Please, please talk to your parents. Let them help. People see a doctor if they have an infection. Seeing a Psycologist will help your heart and soul. Parents really do care if they get a chance.
